TRANSCOASTAL CARGO AND SHIPPING
LIMITED, the parent was established in Chennai on 28th
September 2000, with the main objective of starting a
coastal service using its own ships and containers.
Presently the company owns two general cargo ships of
8,000 and 14,000 tons capacity and 200 containers
owned and leased. 24 TATA4018 prime movers and 2 AMW
prime movers with triple axle trailers, 2 MAN 4928.
The company has deployed the ship along the east coast
of India calling Chennai, Vishakapatanam, Chittagong
and Kolkota carrying both domestic and international
cargoes in containers. The company has deployed its
fleet of containers along the west coast of India
carrying domestic cargo from Gujarat to Kerala and
Tamil nadu using multimodel transportation. The
company has deployed its prime movers and trailers to
transport containerized domestic cargo from the
hinterland of Gujarat to the gateway port of Kandla.
The company is seriously thinking in terms of
operations by sea along the Indian Coast, staring from
Kandla port in the West to Kolkota in the east.
Discussions are already on. and we expected to set
sail this project very soon. Unlike others our
intention is not to provide our valued customers what
we have, but to provide as per the specific
requirements of each customer by creating the required
resources.
